Funny faces are a type of problem seen in Tomodachi Life, where a Mii will ask the player to see their funny face. Their funny face is essentially a resizing and rearranging of some or all of their facial features.
Practicing Funny Faces[]

When the player is zooms onto a Mii's face, occasionally they will be blinking and opening their mouth instead of blushing. The Mii will then state they are working on their funny faces. A problem icon will not occur.
Occasionally, When the player zooms in on their face, a random object will appear on their head or body and the Mii will say "What's that? Do I have something on my face?" The player will have to tap on whatever object it is and will say the following
- "There's a feather on your head."
- "There's a flower petal on your head."
- "There's a ladybug on your head."
- "There's a leaf on your head."
- "There's a crab on your sleeve."
- "You've got a prickly seed stuck on you."
- "You've still got the price sticker on your clothes."
- "You've got some popcorn there.."
- "You've got some crumbs around your mouth."
- "You have a grain of rice on your face." (Mostly appears when the Mii has eaten rice)
- "You have a stray price tag on your clothes."(This only appears on the back) (Mostly appears when the Mii is given new clothes)
The Mii will show a shocked expression and will say "Could you please take care of that for me?"
The Player will tap on the object to remove it, saying "There you go."
The Mii will show a happy expression saying "Thanks, I appreciate it." Their happiness will go up a little
Actual Funny Faces[]
Sometimes, the Mii will show off one of their funny faces. Their apartment window will have the normal problems icon with black swirls. The Mii will then ask the player if they want to see their face. If the player agrees, it will show a completely absurd face that couldn't be done in real life. The Mii will then ask how they did, and the player will tell how well in three specific ratings, "Hilarious!(US)/It's funny(EU)", "Not bad", and "I'm speechless(US)/An improvement(EU)".
On other versions, the player can tell the Mii that the funny face is an improvement from their normal face, in which the Mii will be offended.

- In the Japanese version, the Miis say they're practicing their winking.
